Education

Graduated from Regis High School in 1974

Attended Creighton University College of Arts and Sciences at Omaha, Nebraska, where he was elected first to the Student Board of Governors and then vice president of Student Affairs. He received B.A. in Political Science in 1978.

Attended Creighton University College of Law, became member of the Creighton Law Review with two contributions to the Eighth Circuit Survey of Law. He was also a Moot Court participant. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Creighton in 1981.

Professional Associations and Memberships

Member of St. Matthew's Parish in Cedar Rapids.

Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board of the city of Marion.

Serves on the Boards of Marion Churches Senior Living Community Foundation, Birthright, and the Cedar Rapids Salvation Army.

Member of the Cedar Rapids Literary Club, the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, and Marion Metro Kiwanis.
